Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quote tool needs six pieces of information: your gender, date of birth, general health status, whether you use tobacco, the coverage amount you're considering, and your preferred term length. Those six answers produce rates from all the carriers. We don't ask for your name, address, or medical history unless you move forward to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
They're the rates each carrier quotes for your chosen health tier. Your actual final premium emerges from underwriting, which can confirm your tier, improve it, or change it. This site doesn't bind any insurance or guarantee a specific price.
What happens when I click Apply?
You provide your name to complete the application that's built from your selected quote, then it moves to the carriers' encrypted application system. You can pause and return to it, and all signatures happen online. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed agency (License 0B75129), oversees the application process.
Will I need a medical exam?
It varies by carrier, your coverage amount, and your responses. Carriers offering immediate decisions can often approve eligible applicants quickly; each quote lists whether an exam is required, optional, or waived.
Is a longer term better?
Pick a term that covers the period when your family would suffer most if you were gone: a home loan, kids still at home, business debt. Longer terms raise your monthly cost but freeze your rate for more decades. The quote tool shows all five options (10, 15, 20, 25, 30 years) so you can compare.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool gathers no contact information, we never sell or trade your visitor data, and our traffic counting uses no cookies. Head to the privacy page for the full list of what we do and don't collect.
